L & J, live in Minneapolis, Minnesota and are beginning are almost one year into the TTC process. Our relationship just passed the seven-year mark and we are both excited to be moving down this overwhelming path; a path towards parenthood.

We met in 2003, at the twin cities pride festival, on the bridge connecting the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden to Loring park. It was a planned meeting but an unanticipated success; as we moved in together within a month, bought our first home together the following July and finally got hitched June 2008. We each came into the relationship with a pup; L having a 3 month old mix breed named Luna and J having a 3-year-old Westie named Tara. They are an interesting duo with one being 50+ pounds and the other being less than 15 pounds.

L works as a project coordinator for a construction company and has a communication studies degree. What she plans to do with said degree is still undecided. What is important is that she received her degree as a result of an amazingly supportive family.

J works in the Marketing / IT world but is also a fulltime IT student. An artist at heart who enjoys being outside and exudes excitement for her new found career path.

First of all, congrats on your relationship and good luck on the TCC journey. Quick question – J, you didn’t happen to go to Esko High School?
